Taking part
Adults aged 18 or over may join the City Mystery Trail Local Detectives Circle. Participation is free and voluntary. Each mission shows its estimated duration, stops and submission requirements before you claim it. You have seven days to complete it, with one reminder before the deadline. If a place is unsafe or inaccessible, report that instead of continuing.
Acceptance and reward
We accept specific, first-hand reports that complete the requested fields, whether or not they identify a fault. We ask for clarification when information is missing. Your first accepted report earns one transferable team ticket per person. Redeem within 12 months of issue for a game open for sale at redemption. Starting the game begins seven days of access. The ticket has no cash alternative; it is not a purchase or revenue share.
What we store and why
Registration stores your first name, email, city, language, preferred mission and campaign source. Participation records include confirmation, claims, reports, files, timestamps, permissions and rewards. We use them to run the programme, communicate with you and improve games. Personal pages are private to you and the operator.
Files and publication
Upload only your own material or material you may lawfully share, without other people’s personal information. Images are compressed and stripped of metadata. Documents are protected downloads. First-name credit and public use of your own photo are separate choices; reports and documents do not become public. The operator may use an AI assistant for internal analysis; identifying personal data and attachments are not automatically sent to an external AI service.
Stopping emails and retention
Stop programme emails from your personal page. The separate newsletter is optional. Unconfirmed registrations are deleted after 30 days, images and files after 90 days, and reports and their history after 18 months. Membership details are deleted 18 months after joining once no retained report, ticket or active session remains. Ticket records are retained for six months after the redemption deadline. Request earlier deletion or withdraw permission at hello@citymysterytrail.com.
